Today we spend on hour looking for sea glass on the shores of Naragansett Bay in Newport, R.I, Sure, I know sea glass isn't exactly natural, but nature has a way of crafting it as if it is a treasure straight from the sea. We found green, yellow and brown glass of all different shapes and sizes. The most rare and desirable color, red, eluded us and we vowed to return tomorrow to hunt for it again.
One of our favorite pastimes when we visit Newport, is walking on the rocks looking in the tide pools. Today we found many little creature including:
lots and lots of seaweed
My apologies for the short post today. Please check back to tomorrow as I will be writing about our day trip to Block Island, Rhode Island. The Nature Conservancy named it one of America's last great places and we are going to explore the island and find out why. See you then!
